His Royal Dogness, Guy the Beagle: The Rebarkable True Story of Meghan Markle’s Rescue Dog by Guy the Beagle, Michael Brumm, and Camille March

January 9, 2019

Oh goodness! His Royal Dogness, Guy the Beagle: The Rebarkable True Story of Meghan Markle's Rescue Dog is so, so cute! I just adored it!

We all know the love story of Meghan Markle and Princess Harry, but many people do not know the sweet story of Meghan’s adopted dog, Guy.

His Royal Dogness introduces the world to Guy, Meghan’s beloved dog, and it tells the story of how guy was first found by Meghan at an animal shelter in Canada.

Then later, His Royal Dogness offers us the inside dog perspective of how he had the front row seat to the most recent love story that the entire world knows about.

After the famous proposal, the story allows us to follow both Guy and Meghan as they move to England to start their new lives.

Once in his new home at Buckingham Palace, Guy struggles to find his himself in his new role as a royal canine. No matter what Guy does, he seems to really struggle with adjusting to his new world.

Enter in Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

On the Royal Wedding Day, the Queen is desperately searching for myrtle to add to Meghan’s wedding bouquet. Guy comes to the Queen’s rescue and he locates the perfect sprig to add to the wedding bouquet.

It is at this time that Queen Elizabeth reminds Guy of his welcome and forever love he will have as a new member of the Royal Family.

Everything about this story is adorable. The story,  the illustrations, and the added glimpses of humor throughout the entire book are all just perfectly done.

I thought the construction and design of this story was brilliantly done, and I highly recommend readers to give this book a shot! I am sure that you will come to love it as much as I did.
